Preparing For Departure

Pat, the kids, and I are three days away from packing up and leaving our Oak Park home for a summer adventure.  We've been called to a place which we've always dreamed of visiting, and soon we'll be arriving in boisterous Oaxaca City and making our way to our rented apartment, Villa Maria. Then, as Penelope has already predicted, "we'll have to look around and check things out" before we can know our surroundings.  For now, our journey is preceded by scratching out lists, making piles, and tying  loose ends.  The reality of our adventure is starting to set in, and we hope to share pictures and details of our discoveries in this blog.
